Daddy, what are you doing under the table? Screwing up?
Anna, my 2 years old daughter
Anna, my 2 years old daughter
Anna really likes to help me, especially pressing a keys when I am also typing. As usual I tried to keep her away this time, of cause without much success. Therefore to plug all cards took longer as expected.
I was also surprised that Gigabit NICs work with direct connected normal (not crossover) patch cords.
Both machines are connected to the StorEdge Box on the same SCSI bus, therefore I must change scsi-initiator-id on one of them to avoid SCSI ID conflicts. It was easier to do on karblade. Just because SunBlade 100 has internally only IDE Bus, I can set it globally without any additional impact.
Configuration:
On karblade change scsi-initiator-id, test disk and show available network interfaces:
ok printenv scsi-initiator-id scsi-initiator-id = 7 ok setenv scsi-initiator-id 6 scsi-initiator-id = 6 ok setenv auto-boot? false auto-boot? = false ok reset-all Reseting... ok probe-scsi-all /pci@1f,0/pci@5/pci@1/SUNW,isptwo@4 Target 1 Unit 0 Disk FUJITSU MAN3184M SUN18G 1502 Target 4 Unit 0 Disk SEAGATE ST318404LSUN18G 4203 ok setenv auto-boot? true auto-boot? = true ok show-nets a) /pci@1f,0/network@c,1 b) /pci@1f,0/pci@5/pci@1/SUNW,hme@0,1 c) /pci@1f,0/pci@5/pci@0/network@1 d) /pci@1f,0/pci@5/pci@0/network@0 q) NO SELECTION Enter Selection, q to quit: q ok
On karu60 test disk and show available network interfaces:
{0} ok printenv scsi-initiator-id
scsi-initiator-id = 7
{0} ok probe-scsi-all
